MSNBC CENSORS SANDERS CONDEMNING TPP

MSNBC cut away from live coverage of a Bernie Sanders press conference once he began to condemn the controversial Trans-Pacific Partnership.

Social media exploded as a result as viewers felt the break in Monday’s coverage was due to MSNBC’s owner, Comcast, not wanting to air criticism of the TPP because it benefits greatly from the treaty.

Scroll to the 1:40 mark.

“Of the near $16 million Comcast spent lobbying politicians in 2015, $40,000 alone was spent in the first three months of the year targeting the Senate and House of Representatives on issues relating to TPP,” RTreported. “Over an 18-month period between 2013 and 2015, Media Matters found that MSNBC only discussed TPP twice, with the exception of Ed Schultz, who discussed the agreement during 71 broadcasts while he was still hosting The Ed Show for MSNBC.”

Schultz later left MSNBC for RT America.

MSNBC isn’t alone in suppressing TPP coverage; CBS, ABC and NBC also barely mentioned the treaty over an 18-month period despite the TPP’s severe implications on both the U.S. economy and global human trafficking.

For one thing, not long after the White House invited Thailand to join the TPP, the AP reported the country was relying on slave labor to ship shrimp to the U.S.

“For… 16 hours, No. 31 and his wife stood in the factory that owned them with their aching hands in ice water,” the AP revealed. “They ripped the guts, heads, tails and shells off shrimp bound for overseas markets, including grocery stores and all-you-can-eat buffets across the United States.”

“After being sold to the Gig Peeling Factory, they were at the mercy of their Thai bosses, trapped with nearly 100 other Burmese migrants.”

It’s unlikely Thailand’s billion-dollar slave industry would prevent it from joining the TPP considering that President Obama previously removed an anti-slavery provision from the treaty and also allowed Vietnam to join the partnership despite its flourishing slave trade.

Interestingly, Obama quietly removed the TPP’s anti-slavery clause at the same time he was attacking the Confederate flag as a “symbol of slavery” last summer.

Reporter Took Orders from Hillary Clinton’s Staff, Down to Specific Adjective

Breitbart | by JOHN SEXTON | 9 Feb 2016

AP PHOTO

A newly revealed email exchange shows a reporter for a major political magazine agreeing to use the exact word suggested by a member of Hillary’s staff to write positive coverage of her speech.

The email exchange between the Atlantic‘s Marc Ambinder and Hillary Clinton’s aide at the State Department, Philippe Reines, took place in 2009. It was published Tuesday byGawker.

Ambinder wrote to Reines asking for an advance copy of a speech Hillary was set to deliver to the Council on Foreign Relations (CFR). Reines replied that he would make the speech available on three conditions:

1) You in your own voice describe them as “muscular”
2) You note that a look at the CFR seating plan shows that all the envoys — from Holbrooke to Mitchell to Ross — will be arrayed in front of her, which in your own clever way you can say certainly not a coincidence and meant to convey something
3) You don’t say you were blackmailed!

Ambinder immediately responded, “got it.” As promised, Ambinder wrote coverage of the CFR speech which opened:

When you think of President Obama’s foreign policy, think of Secretary of State Hillary Clinton. That’s the message behind a muscular speech that Clinton is set to deliver today to the Council on Foreign Relations. The staging gives a clue to its purpose: seated in front of Clinton, subordinate to Clinton, in the first row, will be three potentially rival power centers: envoys Richard Holbrooke and George Mitchell, and National Security Council senior director Rep. Dennis Ross.

Asked about having Hillary’s PR people write his columns, Ambinder now claims he does not remember the exchange and adds that he is not interested in defending it. “It made me uncomfortable then, and it makes me uncomfortable today,” he tells Gawker.

The Atlantic is not the only news site which covered Clinton’s CFR speech exactly as her staff wanted it covered. In an amazing coincidence, Mike Allen of Politico wrote about the speech in a piece that opened, “In a muscular first major address as secretary of state….” And midway through the story Allen writes, “A look at the CFR’s guest seating chart shows that arrayed in the front row will be top members of her team — the envoys she has called her “force multipliers”: Richard Holbrooke, George Mitchell, Dennis Ross, Philip Goldberg and Stephen Bosworth.”

Similarly, the New York Times’ Mark Landler seemed to be working from the same script. In his second paragraph he writes, “But with its muscular tone and sweeping scope, it was also an effort to recapture the limelight….” And in his fourth paragraph, he mentions the attendees, “She even marshaled a cheering section of special envoys and other senior American diplomats in the first few rows at the Council on Foreign Relations.” Neither of these details appeared in the Associated Press story about the speech which the New York Times linked.

There’s no proof that Allen or the Landler spoke with Reines or anyone else working for Clinton before filing their stories, but the details are remarkably similar. And, in the case of Politico‘s Mike Allen, other emails show he has willing to offer a guaranteed “no risk” interview of Chelsea Clinton, seemingly as a way to ingratiate himself with Hillary Clinton.

FOX NEWS REPORTS FINAL NEW HAMPSHIRE PRIMARY RESULTS IN ADVANCE

Paul Joseph Watson | Infowars - FEBRUARY 9, 2016

Fox News is reporting the final results of tonight’s Republican and Democratic primaries in advance, with a mock-up page showing establishment favorite Marco Rubio finishing in second place.

The page – which can be viewed here – displays the final tally of the Republican primary with 100% of votes counted. Donald Trump is in first place with 28%, with Rubio thirteen points behind with 15% and Ted Cruz just behind him in third.

The result of the Democratic primary shows Bernie Sanders beating Hillary Clinton by a margin of just 10%. A cross section of current polls shows Sanders is on average 14% ahead of Hillary.

The Fox News page also shows a detailed breakdown of votes by town, despite the fact that no results will be announced until later tonight.

Although the page is by no means a shadowy conspiracy cooked up by Fox News, and is almost certainly some kind of web scripting test, it could be argued that presenting such information ahead of time may sway voters.

The mock-up results page is noteworthy because it shows establishment favorite Marco Rubio in second place, despite his poor debate performance on Saturday night.

Pundits think that Rubio needs to beat fellow establishment candidates Bush and Kasich to emerge as the main challenger to Trump and Ted Cruz, but the Florida Senator’s penchant for repeating the same lines over and over again during debates and speeches has attracted ridicule.

Rubio’s surprise third place finish in Iowa prompted some Trump supporters to allege that a Microsoft vote counting app had helped Rubio, although no concrete evidence was ever presented to suggest the caucus was rigged.

Meanwhile, Scott Adams, the creator of the popular Dilbert carton series, predicts that the GOP will rig tonight’s primary to favor Rubio.

“Look for Rubio to have a surprisingly strong second-place showing in New Hampshire. And look for the most common explanations for that surprise to be his momentum from Iowa,” writes Adams.

“I assume that most of you think this is conspiracy talk and not to be taken seriously. Some of you will feel sorry for me as I squander the remaining crumbs of my credibility on this foolishness. But keep in mind that you said the same thing in September when I was predicting Trump’s rise.”

Border Surge: Apprehensions Decline with 23,767 Illegals Caught at Border Last Month

Breitbart | by CAROLINE MAY | 3 Feb 2016

Eduardo Verdugo/AP

While the level of border apprehensions of unaccompanied minors and adults traveling with children this fiscal year has dwarfed years past, the month of January saw fewer migrants detained illegally entering the U.S. than months prior.

In January, Customs and Border Patrol apprehended 3,113 unaccompanied minors and 3,145 adults with children, according to new Customs and Border Protection data. There were 23,767 overall apprehensions at the border.

The level of apprehensions represents a decline compared to earlier months. Total apprehensions were down nearly a third compared to December and apprehensions of unaccompanied minors and so-called family units dropped by more than 50 percent.

Department of Homeland Security Sec. Jeh Johnson highlighted the new numbers as representing a decline in attempts to illegally cross the U.S.-Mexico border. The decline in apprehensions follows last month’s DHS enforcement actions to remove 121 illegal immigrant family units in the U.S. who crossed the border illegally after May 2014 and had been issued final orders of removal.

The DHS secretary indicated such immigration enforcement actions — though minor compared to the hundreds of thousands of illegal immigrant arrivals since 2014 — would continue.

“While the one-month decline in January is encouraging, this does not mean we can dial back our border security efforts. Recent enforcement actions, which focus on those apprehended at the border on or after January 1, 2014, will continue,” Johnson said in a statement.

While minor compared to the overall number of illegal immigrants who remain in the U.S., immigration activists and Democrats have decried the enforcement actions, claiming the largely Central American migrants who have illegally immigrated to the U.S. deserve protection.

Johnson acknowledged those concerns, saying that DHS would ignore large swaths of illegal immigrants who are in the U.S. and only take action against those who recently arrived and have committed serious crimes.

“Our borders are not open to illegal migration. If someone was apprehended at the border, has been ordered deported by an immigration court, has no pending appeal, and does not qualify for asylum or other relief from removal under our laws, he or she must be sent home. We must enforce the law in accordance with our enforcement priorities,” he said.

While there was a decline in apprehensions last month, the level of illegal immigration so far this fiscal year — which began on October 1, 2015 — is 102 percent higher than the level recorded last year for unaccompanied minors, with 20,455 apprehensions, and 171 percent higher for family units with 124,616 apprehensions.

Democrats have argued that violence in Central America is fueling the migration north. Republicans point to the Obama administration’s amnesty programs and lax enforcement polices as enticements for illegal immigration.

DEMOCRATIC DEBATE TOTALLY STAGED: CNN HAS AUDIENCE PRACTICE APPLAUSE, PRE-SUBMITTED QUESTIONS PLANTED

Steve Watson | Infowars | JANUARY 26, 2016

In order to fit in with the sterile, pre-packaged scripted fake media driven world we live in today, CNN staged every aspect of last night’s Democratic debate, planting prepared questions in the audience, and even having them practice clapping the candidates before the “show” began.

Politicians, and particularly Presidents, are supposed to be able to react on the fly to the most unexpected of events and situations, but it seems that we’re now firmly in the age of the teleprompter President.

Rarely anything you see anymore is spontaneous or improvised. Everything HAS to go off exactly as planned and without a hitch. Everything is one giant PR program designed to hook mainstream America in and deliver exactly what the powers that be think it wants.

Which is exactly what happened during another snorefest of a Democratic debate presented by CNN.

Before the candidates even took to the stage, CNN had the audience practice applauding, as Anderson Cooper alluded to during the monotonous hours long “build up,” now a mind numbing aspect of every major vacuous TV presentation of the modern day.

Because, obviously, were they not told to clap beforehand, this brain dead mass of blubber and skin would just sit there in utter confusion and boredom, wondering why it had been over five minutes since they got their last fix of fake sincerity to lose their shit to.

Then there were the candidates themselves.

Bernie Sanders said he was going to raise taxes in order to give away some free shit for the 18 billionth time:

Hillary Clinton waddled on stage and denied for the 800 billionth time that her home made email server constituted misconduct, and once again claimed “nothing that I did was wrong.”

The viewers at home in an alpha wave induced stupor also would not have noticed that the questions the candidates were “asked” constituted bigger softer balls than those owned by the Stay Puft marshmallow man.

Sanders was asked if he was “surprised” by his support and the hashtag associated with the “Feel the Bern” slogan.

Getting down to the nitty gritty there.

He was then asked if he supported “women’s issues”.

OOOO, tough one for Bernie.

Hillary was asked by the CNN hosts if she found it surprising that Obama thinks she is “wicked smart,” “knows every policy inside and out,” and gets “undue criticism”.

WOW, get out of that one if you can Hillary.

An Audience member also asked her exactly how she would go about the EXTREMELY DIFFICULT task of “protecting the constitutional rights of all groups of people”.

A muslim woman asked Clinton what she thought about… muslims and Trump… or something, to which she responded by nearly crying.

Nothing about taking money from mega banks and giant oil companies, multiple rape allegations against her husband, or knowing that Americans were killed in a terrorist attack and lying about it though, unsurprisingly.

Then came the kicker at the end of the night when what appeared to be a 11 year old stammering boy stood up and declared that “I can see why they gave you this” before asking Hillary which former President she admired the most.

It wasn’t Bill Clinton.

Staged, sterile, scripted and completely lifeless. Which is exactly what you’d expect from CNN and every Democratic candidate in this Presidential race. Everyone went home happy and slept soundly like babies.

Next up, Anderson Cooper presents the build up to the 2024 Presidential election and asks will another Obama be running, and especially with that hair cut.

Go to commercial.
